Illegalevecht

Call for plans that help to define Illegalevecht.

Illegalevecht is connected to the river Vechte, which originates in Darfeld, Germany. Being renamed as Overijsselse Vecht in the Netherlands, the river terminates app. 180 kilometer further, near Zwolle.

Of course a river can not be illegal, but that’s why the two words are combined. Illegalevecht is based on uncalculated development of ideas and on multiple usage of the river. You can help to define Illegalevecht by sending proposals that in one way or another alter the river and its surrounding landscape.

Each year we provide up to 4000 euros to execute plans. If we select your plan, we will give you the money directly in hand, without further bureaucracy. In exchange we ask permission for publication and we ask for visual documentation in case your plan is granted.

Proposals for Illegalevecht can have every imaginable form or subject, ment to be everlasting or temporary, and vary in visibility. Even proposals to change the rules will be treated seriously.

Everyone can participate. Adults and children, individuals and groups, clubs, villages and companies. The money reaches until the end of 2020.

Kind regards,

Arnoud Holleman and Till Krause
